What inspires you? When it comes to making a room in my house special I always pick pieces or accessories that I absolutely love. Take those special items like a special photograph,a collection of buttons, or a stack of your favorite books that you will actually look at or read and make it work in the room. A good friend and a wonderful decorator once told me only buy things that you love if it takes you two years or two days to finish the room that’s okay when your done you’ll love it. What inspires me? all those special pieces that I have collected over the years things I could never part with!!!!!! This is the very first blog post I ever made for Simply Vintage 2 years ago!

Don’t you just love simplicity? Organization, clean lines, the way stacked books look mixed with fresh green apples. Makes me want to sit down and have a cup of coffee in a friends kitchen. You know the kind of day when you drop of the kiddos at school and instead of heading home to do laundry, you stop in at a good friends house for a chat. Sitting there with socks on your feet, tucked up under you while reading one of the many magazines on the table in front of you. I LOVE THAT!! Dianna’s house makes me feel like that!! I hope we always have a couch at the store to have coffee on!!

As some of you may know I have decided to step back from the store to be with my family and focus on my photography. it was a hard decision but one I needed to make. Dianna’s dream was always to have a shop and now it is off and running thanks to our great customers! I will continue to support her and be involved by doing the blog! Recently Dianna had the idea to offer decorating tips, I love it! So here we go off to another year at Simply Vintage!

A True Story:
Not so long ago, on a Main Street not so far away, Eight really cools girls had a nifty little plan! We’ll have a Rockin’ time they said-we each will do our part, we have our own unique gift to give and here is where we’ll start:
All Dolled Up is where we go to get that perfect dress and when it’s time to accessorize Gypsy Rose is just the best! To finish off that look Too Blonde Salon can can do the trick! When the time comes to decorate Simply Vintage knows how to make all things old new again! Soiree is where the best party ever is be it big or small and Rainey’s Pantry has the fine cuisine to offer they can cater it all!
